The original Ashphalt Roof covering was showing signs of failure and ponding. The roof outlets were inadequate and were difficult to keep clear and the roof was not insulated. The building has 4 distinct roof areas. Two of the areas had a concrete roof deck with a screed laid to falls and two had a woodwool slab with a sand cement screed laid to falls. The project consisted of striping the existing coverings where neccessary aplying an insulated deck laid to falls (which gave an opportunity to increase the falls on the flat roof to a minimum of 1:60) and a single membrane finish supplied by Icopal, new facias, new aluminium guttering and rainwater pipes.
